An Ode to Chukwudubem Ukaigwe
What drew us to Chukwudubem is the way his work moves across senses. His practice brings together painting, installation, writing, music, history, and futurism, allowing an image to hold memory, rhythm, place, and cultural reference at once. His work often unfolds through fragments, layers, and associations rather than immediate explanation. That feels especially relevant to Ode, where we are interested in how perception shifts through context, sequence, and attention.
As a Nigerian-founded studio, Ode is proud to make space for Nigerian creatives whose work expands how culture can be experienced. Chukwudubem’s practice feels both grounded and expansive, moving fluidly across disciplines, geographies, and ways of seeing.

At Raison d’Être
His work becomes part of the visual and multisensory language of the evening, extending beyond the conventional boundaries of viewing art and into the wider experience of the room.
